The classification of a product can affect its duty incidence, exemption eligibility, import policy, applicability of a Quality Control Order, preferential tariff treatment and requirements administered by Partner Government Agencies. Likewise, an FTA claim may require examination of tariff classification, Rules of Origin, Section 28DA of the Customs Act, CAROTAR, origin documentation and verification requirements.
